In this short session you will learn to breathe into the ribcage, enhance your lung capacity and ‘clean up’ the lungs by practising a specific breathing exercise. This will make you more aware of where you hold tension in your chest and the areas the breath doesn’t reach when you are breathing normally. You will experience how the breath influences your mind and how it can help to deepen your practice. The poses will release tension in the chest, back, hips and legs and, as always, we end with a guided Savasana. This is a great class to do if you’ve been on your feet all day, or behind a computer, or you want to wind down after a long day. Different options and variations are offered in order for everyone to benefit from the poses. You’ll need: blanket, bolster and pillow.
