“Move from love”: Yoga day in support of ‘Because We Carry’.

We invite you to support the vital work of the charity, ‘Because We Carry’ with a full day of yoga, meditation, mindfulness and connection. The event is non-profit, volunteer-run and 100% of ticket fees will go to ‘Because We Carry’.

José and fellow EkhartYoga teachers – Esther Ekhart, Afke Reijenga and Sandra Carson – will guide you through this day of yoga in the hope of inspiring more people to open their hearts and move from love.

About ‘Because We Carry’

Because We Carry is a charity supporting refugees, based on the island of Lesbos, Greece.
In accordance with the saying ‘less talk, more action’, the organisation has rotating teams of volunteers, dedicated to alleviating the ongoing human suffering of refugees arriving on feeble boats in the hope of a safe haven. The teams hand out dry clothes, deliver baby carriers for the long journey ahead, and supply the exhausted people with food. 11:15 – 12:15: “Move your energy around” with Esther Ekhart ~ Breathing, meditation, gentle movement
12:30 – 13:30: “Open your heart” with Afke Reijenga ~ Vinyasa flow
13:30 – 15:00: Lunch break
15:00 – 16:00: “We’re in it together” with Sandra Carson ~ Hatha, Mixed movement
16:30 – 17:30: “Connecting with your Self’ with José de Groot ~ Yin yoga
17:30 – 18:00 Closing meditation with Esther Ekhart

Location

The event will take place in the beautiful Laurentius church in Weesp, the new location of YogaToday studio, who kindly donated their space for this special event.

The church is only a 5-minute walk from Weesp train station.
Weesp is around 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam.
