Going through my mailbox today, I was touched by the below sentences from Max Strom on practicing gratitude:
“The secret to practicing gratitude is to begin practicing on things that you feel grateful for each and every day. Then the next stage in growth is, to learn to be grateful on your worst days.”
I believe in this time of the year where we are swamped with Black Friday and Cyber weekend emails in order for us to buy more, it is a good moment to take a step back and observe what we actually already have in our lives. The people – or any other sentient beings – you love and share your life with, this beautiful earth we live on, your home, your health, your body and even your True Self. You name it, the sky’s the limit. There is so much to be grateful for, even in the current corona situation.
At the moment our flexibility and capability to reflect on our own actions, reactions and feelings, is being tested once again, now there are more restrictions. Our connection to the essence of our hearts and not being trapped by our minds, is more necessary than ever.
So let’s dive deep inside our heart and feel and become aware of all the good and the bad in our lives, but be grateful for it! Because in the end all that is happening in your live right now, will help you grow to eventually get closer to the person you want to be.
So join me in my upcoming Yin class, where we practice gratitude together while we practice pranayama and Yin Poses that open up our hearts, calm our minds and allow us to feel how everything and everybody is intimately connected.
As always, I will allow myself to be inspired by the moment and what you have told me where the attention has to go. Guided by the moment we will find together how the practice will unfold!
