Powerful, focused and infinite possibilities

Yang Yoga

Yang Yoga is a style of yoga that is an effective way to strengthen, tone and stretch your entire body. It enhances your digestion, deepens your breath, relaxes your mind and expands your consciousness. You will feel more energetic, more flexible, stronger and less stressed. Yang Yoga is suitable for anyone  and will help you to feel fitter and more energetic.

Yang Yoga refers to all dynamic styles of yoga such as: Hatha/Vinyasa, Vini, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara, Kundalini, Power, etc. The goal of these types of yoga is to build internal heat. They use Ujjayi breath (pranayama) and dynamic sequences consisting of repetitive movements (asanas) which strengthens, lengthens and tones muscles. Yang Yoga doesn’t target or reach the connective and cartilaginous tissues (fasciajoints, ligaments or tendons) as much as Yin Yoga does. Connective tissue is more rigid so it needs a different approach than the more elastic tissues of our bodies.

Yin and Yang working together

Yin and Yang Yoga are different styles but complement each other in reaching their common goal: to purify, balance and harmonise our bodies and mind. They both enable us to tune into our true nature so that the energy within and around us can flow freely.

It is essential to remember that no two bodies are alike, and that our needs vary from day to day. A key part of yoga practice is cultivating awareness, helping you to observe your daily needs – mentally, emotionally and physically. This way you can choose and adapt your yoga practice to suit your needs on a daily basis. For example, if your body is very flexible, making it difficult to connect with your muscles, try practicing more Yang and less Yin Yoga. The same counts, of course, for opposite situations.
