Retreat Style Training

Yin Yoga, Anatomy & Eastern Philosophies with José de Groot

The foundation of this RETREAT training is the holistic approach in which Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Anatomy, Yoga Philosophy and Eastern Health theories (5 elements, chi and meridians) of the human body are combined. This will empower you to teach beneficial, safe and personalized Yin yoga classes.

You will learn about: bones, movements, joints, muscles, fascia, organ functions, meridian pathways, chi, Taoism, Yoga Sutras, Meridian Theory and 5 Elements Theory in a practical and playful way, using the power of repetition and the sensitivity of all of our senses. This will help you to understand your own constitution and how to restore physical, emotional and mental imbalance with yoga poses, meditation, pranayama and lifestyle.

Explore 35 Yin poses of the upper and lower body and  learn to analyze the individual possibilities, impossibilities and needs of your students, in order to offer personalized adjustments and suggestions, and teach functionally (focusing on feeling and experiencing the pose), rather than aesthetically (focusing on how the pose ‘should be’ performed).

Holistic Yoga Approach

The Work with Jasmijn Koelink

A first for YogaTreat trainings, Jasmijn will be introducing The Work to focus on personal inner work and freedom. With a deep connection with yourself, you can teach in an authentic & empowering way. This requires work and a willingness to move inwards: enhancing knowledge about yourself: knowing who you are, what you believe and what you want or need. The Work supports and guides you in this process. Question your thinking patterns and defense mechanisms step by step, in a structured way, to find your own truth and notice how your ego-mind is keeping you away from your authentic self. From this connection you will think and act from a place of clarity, inner peace, and deep trust.

“Your most intimate relationship is the relationship with your thoughts”
~ Byron Katie, founder of The Work

Over 5 days you will learn the basics of The Work and you will deepen the process of self-realization. Learn how to live and apply insights gained into your daily life and teachings. Different exercises will  be given to support you with possibilities to practice The Work in between the training days. We invite you to experience for yourself this simple, immediately applicable, and deeply personal work. Access your own inner wisdom, strengthen your personal leadership skills, feel more balanced and present in the moment and find a way to deal with (internal) conflicts. Discover that deep trust, inner peace, and intuition are always available to you and not dependent on other people’s wisdom.

Personal Development

Reiki with Jordi Ibern

This RETREAT Training is enriched with a two day Reiki module offered by Jordi Ibern, who will initiate you into Reiki and teach you how to apply Reiki to yourself and others. Reiki is an integrally spiritual practice that is rooted in Buddhism, Shintoism and Taoism, and is largely based on the transmission of Chi (vital energy) conducted through the hands and in meditation. A Regular Reiki practice helps to bring personal realisation and spiritual satisfaction, which gives a special touch to your own practice.

You’ll also discover the special touch it can give to your future students using the unique transformative combination of a Yin Yoga & Reiki practice. These two meditative and spiritual practices combined enhances the deep healing effects of the asanas, promotes well-being and encourages inner growth. Jordi and José have combined Reiki & Yin Yoga since 2007, and together they have offered hundreds of classes, workshops and retreats. Yin Yoga is the perfect Yoga practice to be combined with the gentle touch of Reiki.

Energy Work

A DEEP DIVE INTO THE VERY CORE OF YOUR BEING

During this RETREAT Teacher Training YOU will be the focus of attention. Whether you want to deepen your own practice, promote your spiritual and personal growth, or have the ambition to professionalize your teaching or coaching skills, you are in the right place. It is your experience, your exploration, your path.

Yoga doesn’t stop at the physical aspect of the practice, so we don’t either! Go beyond skeletal variations and asanas and dive into the core of your ‘Being’. Everything is energy, and this means that everything is connected, so our starting point is looking at the body in a holistic way and through the lens of Yoga Philosophy, Meridian theory, 5 Element Theory, Reiki and The Work.

In the RETREAT training we will rely on our gut feeling, breaking away from the usual interferences of the mind, playing with our body as a whole, and listening to what the heart tells us. We help you to become aware of what is happening on different levels (thought patterns, emotional reactions, physical sensations etc.) and how you can use the tools of Yoga, Reiki and The Work to get to your unique core.

Your Teachers

What You’ll Learn

  • Asana

You’ll learn 35 Yin asanas and their healing effects on the body (physical, mental, emotional and energetic). You’ll learn how to practice yoga poses functionally and safely, by focusing on feeling and experiencing the asana ( what works for you ), rather than simply performing the asana as it ‘should be’. You will learn how Yin Yoga poses can stimulate meridians and balance Chi flow, by using Elemental and Meridian Theory as a foundation to support and enhance your and your future student’s overall wellbeing.

  • Anatomy & Eastern (yoga) philosophies on health and Life

Embrace a holistic approach to your practice and teachings by fully integrating in depth knowledge of FUNctional anatomy, yoga philosophy and Eastern health theories. Study the anatomical and physiological facets of our body (bones, muscles, fascia, joints, organ functions etc.) AND advanced principles of Eastern philosophies on health and life (e.g. Taoism, Meridian theory, Chi, 5 elements theory, Yoga Sutras) and learn to incorporate this knowledge functionally in your in person and/or online classes. This will help initiate profound physical, emotional, and mental shifts in yourself and your students. At the end of this RETREAT training you’ll be able to intelligently sequence and teach safe, personalised, creative, transformative and inspiring yoga classes.

  • Intelligently sequence and teach safe, personalised, creative and inspiring yoga classes

With your knowledge of the human body and a holistic view on movement, you will inspire others to explore their own bodies, and be able to open and strengthen themselves with a free body, mind and soul. In connection with their essence.

The RETREAT training covers a total of 33 training days in person in which you will learn how to create a high-quality ánd personal yoga class in a live as well as an online environment.

All of José’s teachings are driven by her understanding of the skeleton-variation system, as she learned it from her teacher Paul Grilley; the founder of Yin yoga.

  • Exploring the layers and self-healing abilities of your unique body

The Eastern philosophies on health and life, help you to understand your constitution and how to restore physical, emotional and mental imbalance through yoga poses, meditation, pranayama, The Work, Reiki and lifestyle. You’ll experience what it is like to truly live from a place of connection with yourself and with everything and everyone around you. José will help you to deepen your own practice from a playful mindset. You will explore your unique body with an open mind, making your personal Yin practice beneficial, fun and profound. As you walk your spiritual path of exploration, you will gather tools on how to pass on your wisdom and make your yoga classes relevant on a spiritual healing level too.

  • Adjusting in a personalised & functional way

Learn how to effectively use props and give personal adjustments to your students with your knowledge of the human body (skeletal variation) and holistic view on movement. You will be able to Inspire students to explore their bodies. Empower them to stimulate the chi flow in the meridians of their bodies and open and strengthen themselves in a beneficial way without unnecessary pain or injuries. Result: a free body, mind and soul, able to achieve anything from a stable connection with your essence.

  • Pranayama techniques

Pranayama (breath work) is essential in the path of yoga. It supports the healing effects of the Yin practice on a physical, as well as an energetic and emotional level. During the training you will learn how to guide yourself and others in the pranayama and orbiting energies practices and adjust the intensity to a level that is most beneficial at that moment. Mastering these techniques helps you to gradually open yourself up, breaking through patterns and releasing blockages. You will learn to feel the more subtle energies in and around your body.

  • Become an authentic and empowered Teacher

Under the guidance of Jasmijn Koelink you identify stressful thoughts and question them through The Work of Byron Katie ©. In this module you’ll become familiar with this simple and unique method of realisation and how to apply this inner work while teaching a yin yoga class to others. You will develop a steady inner state of being and experience how to keep your mind open and clear.

    You will also:

    • tackle the source of stress – related to teaching.
    • notice how your attitude and thoughts patterns affect your emotional and physical level or affect others
    • learn how to teach from an authentic place without the need to be noticed, to please, to impress or to win others approval or love.
    • become aware of the quality of your own energy while teaching and how to align yourself to stay present and being capable to hold a safe and sacred space for your students
    • experience how to guide students in a respectful and safe manner and simultaneously encourage them to rely on their own capabilities and intuition in their practice.

Jasmijn is a very enthusiastic practitioner of The Work. After following more than 600 hours of training in The Work, she became a certified facilitator of The Work. Jasmijn integrates The Work with her existing expertise and training as a social and organisational psychologist, Yoga Alliance® recognised yoga teacher and breathwork coach. In this RETREAT training you will be introduced to The Work and will experience doing The Work.

  • Mastering the art of being present

Through meditation and mindfulness you learn to be comfortably and calmly present in the moment, to observe without action or reaction from a nonjudgmental state of mind.  Mastering the art of being present and developing a peaceful mind, enables you to really connect with yourself and with your students, creating a safe and calm energy in your classes allowing students to feel safe to open up to whatever arises.

  • The spiritual path of personal growth; your inner journey

Anything is possible, physically as well as mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We are made to expand, grow and shine. So everything that comes across your path wants to show you something. Everything that you neglect, contains a lesson that will return again and again (these are patterns) until the lesson is learned and integrated. In this so-called (emotional) darkness lies your growth, it is the opening for your light. We humans are able to reprogram our thoughts and behaviours, which enables you to achieve anything in this life. Yes, you too! As long as you do it in a way and pace that feels right for you. As long as you keep acknowledging your uniqueness along the way. Get to know your inner being, your essence, your core and feel free for life.

The 300-hour Yin Anatomy & Meridian RETREAT Teacher Training takes 12 months and is held in Venwoude (NL) , a beautiful location in the middle of the forest. The training is divided into two parts.

The first half, “Discover Your Body And Yourself” starts off with a 9-day retreat, followed by a 4-day retreat and a 2-day retreat. There will also be zoom sessions in between for a check in and a 10 minute personal feedback session with José or Jasmijn.

After the first half ‘discover your body and yourself’ you will have a few months to practice and integrate and digest what you have learned and experienced. This creates a good foundation and space in your head for the second half of the RETREAT training ‘get to your core’

The second half starts off with another 9-day retreat, followed by a 4-day retreat, 2-day retreat and another 3-day retreat. This half also includes zoom catch up sessions and individual feedback sessions with José or Jasmijn.

  • 1st half - DISCOVER YOUR BODY AND YOURSELF

MOVEMENT – FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY – LOWER BODY POSES

The first half focuses on the physical aspects (movements, skeleton and muscles) of the Yin practice, and gives you a solid foundation to teach and adjust the Yin yoga poses of the lower body in a safe and personal way.

What to expect in the 1st half:

    • Daily meditation, pranayama (6 techniques) and Yin yoga practice (lower body asanas).
    • Theory and practice in FUNctional Anatomy and Physiology: study of bones, joints & movements (skeletal variation); muscles, muscle groups and fascia of the hips, upper and lower leg and trunk.
    • Understanding the anatomical differences between individuals and how to adapt the Yin Yoga practice accordingly.
    • Understanding how to stimulate, strengthen and open the body in a healthy way.
    • Personal development and self-reflection exercises.
    • Practice of teaching and adjusting the lower body poses.
    • Practice of usage of props.
    • Training in teaching safe and personalised Yin yoga classes, both online & in person.
    • Understanding how to build a qualified, safe and inspiring yoga class.
    • Introduction to the basics of Taoism and Chinese 5 elements theory and how this enriches the yoga practice. (In the second half of the RETREAT training we will study the principles of Eastern philosophies on health and life, e.g. Taoism, meridian theory, chi, 5 elements theory, Yoga Sutras and Reiki in depth).
    • Experience how doing The Work can support you to become enlightened to who and what you are, the true nature of your being. To question stressful thoughts is an amazing gift to give yourself. The answers are always inside you, just waiting to be heard. The Work is a completely accessible user-friendly form of spiritual inquiry to self-realization. This module is facilitated by Jasmijn Koelink.
  • 2nd half - GET TO YOUR INNER CORE

    ENERGETIC – EMOTIONAL/MENTAL – UPPER BODY POSES

The second half focuses on the energetic, emotional and healing aspects (meridians, chi, organs & emotions) of Yin yoga, and allows you to teach and adjust both online & in person all Yin asanas in a safe and profound way. In this part the focus is on spiritual development and personal growth. Just as each person’s physical body is unique, so is their energetic make-up. In this part of the RETREAT training we turn inside to get answers to questions such as:

    Who am I really?

    What do I really feel?

What effect does a certain practice have on me, in all layers of my Being (emotional, physical, mental, energetic)?

What do I need in the  moment?

And which tool (asana, Reiki, The Work, Yoga Philosophy, meditation, pranayama, etc.) supports me to get to my essence. ?

When you know this about yourself, you can look specifically at how you can adapt the Yin practice to break through destructive thinking patterns and blockages that hinder you from living fully.

What to expect in the 2nd half:

    • Theory and practice of functional anatomy and physiology: study of the upper body (muscles of upper and lower arm, shoulders & neck), repetition of the lower body (hips, legs, trunk) and an in-depth study of connective tissue, fascia and organs to understand the energetic anatomy of Chi and meridians.
    • Daily meditation, pranayama & orbiting energy (6 new techniques) and Yin yoga practice (upper body asanas).
    • Extensive study of Traditional Oriental Health Theory (yin & yang philosophy, meridians, 5 elements, meridian clock) and how to integrate this into your Yin yoga practice and life.
    • Theory and practice in energetic anatomy: study of Chi, meridians (energy pathways) and their connection to the 12 organs and 5 elements (water, wood, fire, earth, metal).
    • Learning to recognise different forms of Chi – physical, mental and emotional reactions – and the ability to recognise imbalance.
    • Insight on how to use Yin yoga and Reiki to break through physical and/or energetic blockages and to balance a Chi imbalance (excess / deficiency) in yourself.
    • Tools to safely guide others in breaking through their blockages, patterns and balancing the Chi flow.
    • Study of the Yoga Sutras written by Patanjali, and how to integrate this into your yoga journey.
    • Personal development, spiritual exploration and self-reflection. Understanding one’s own thought patterns and healthy functioning of body and mind.
    • Dive deeper into The Work and your inner wisdom and how that strengthens you as a teacher. This module is facilitated by Jasmijn Koelink.
    • In a 2 day module you will be initiated into Reiki and learn how to apply Reiki onto yourself and to others. You will also experience the unique transformative combination of a Yin Yoga & Reiki practice. This Module is facilitated by Jordi Ibern.
    • Practice of teaching and adjusting the upper body poses.
    • Practice of usage of props.
    • Learn to teach safe, personal and profound in person & online Yin yoga classes.
    • Understanding how to build a quality, safe and inspiring yoga class that goes beyond physical practice alone.

You are an example, the greatest inspiration for others. On the yoga mat, but also off the mat. Yoga goes beyond the physical practice alone, it is an expression of your heart, mind and soul. Just think of the yoga teachers you have experienced as inspiring in recent years? Why is that? Why do they touch you? Probably also because they taught from their authenticity.

During this RETREAT teacher training, you are encouraged to approach the teachings and yourself with an open-minded and inquisitive attitude. With the mantra: “Everything is possible! With that fundamental attitude together with the holistic and interactive Yoga approach combined with personal development and energy work, we support you to become a confident yogi and a curious teacher. Enabling you to teach beneficial, safe and inspiring Yin yoga classes, tailored to each individual.

After this RETREAT Teacher Training you will be able to:

  • Translate your acquired holistic knowledge of Yoga philosophy, Meridian theory, Reiki, The Work, Meditation, Pranayama, Functional Anatomy and Asana into a beneficial, personalized and safe practice for yourself and others.
  • Connect and relate to others in your yoga class or in general with with self-confidence, gained by personal and energetic insights and awareness.
  • Grow, transform and heal yourself independently with the developed skills. From this authentic basis you can then inspire your students to do their ‘inner work’ within their yoga practice.

FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY & EASTERN PHILOSOPHIES

The foundation of this RETREAT training is the holistic approach in which Functional Anatomy, Yoga Philosophy, Reiki, The Work © and Eastern Health theories (5 elements, chi and meridians) are combined. This will empower you to teach beneficial, safe and personalised Yin yoga classes both in person and online.

You will study in depth: bones, movements, joints, muscles, fascia, organ functions, Taoism, Yoga Sutras, Meridian Theory and 5 Elements Theory, Reiki and The Work. You will make these teachings your own in a practical and interactive way, using the power of repetition and the sensitivity of all our senses. This allows you to embody the knowledge in all layers of your being.

You will also learn to analyse the individual possibilities, impossibilities and needs of your students, in order to offer personalised adjustments and suggestions, and teach functionally (focusing on feeling and experiencing the pose), rather than aesthetically (focusing on how the pose ‘should be’ performed).

EXAMINATION & YOGA ALLIANCE CERTIFICATION

During the RETREAT training there are two moments of examination (halfway and at the end). At these moments your competence will be evaluated with regard to your own practice, theory and teaching. This concerns written assignments, quizzes, two multiple choice theoretic exams and practical exams.

After successfully completing this 300-hour Yin yoga, Anatomy & Meridians RETREAT Teacher Training you will be prepared to teach principles and techniques of Yin yoga that are more advanced, more detailed, and/or subtler with greater skill than could reasonably be expected of a RYT 200 (internationally recognized Yoga Teacher Certificate).

You will receive a 300-hour certificate and can now register with Yoga Alliance as a RYT 500 teacher, when you have previously completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training that is registered with Yoga Alliance.

If you would like to participate in this 300-hour, but have not taken a foundational 200-hour program yet then you will receive a 200-hour certificate upon successful completion of this RETREAT Training. With this certificate you can register with Yoga Alliance as a RYT 200 teacher (internationally recognized Yoga Teacher Certificate).

Check FAQ to learn more about requirements for obtaining a certificate.

To bring your practice and that of your future students on a heart-mind level, you will be introduced to the essential basic concepts and application of both the Yoga Sutras and Taoism/Meridian Theory.

PREPARATION TO BE AN EMPOWERING YOGA TEACHER

Learn and study the language of the body, so that you get a feeling of how to best assist people. Respond to individuals and situations, while not losing sight of other students. Learn verbal and non-verbal instructional techniques and how to smoothly integrate visual demonstrations, touching and personal adjustments into your in person and/or online classes for all levels; beginners, multi-level and experienced.

INTEGRATING EASTERN WISDOM AND SELF-HEALING INTO YOUR TEACHING STYLE

The Eastern philosophies on health and life, help you to understand your constitution and how to restore physical, emotional and mental imbalance through yoga poses, meditation, pranayama, energetic awareness, The Work, Reiki and lifestyle. You’ll experience what it is like to truly live from a place of connection with yourself and with everything and everyone around you. As you walk your spiritual path of exploration, you will gather tools on how to pass on your wisdom and make your yoga classes relevant on a spiritual healing level too.

PERSONAL GUIDANCE & FEEDBACK

We practice what we preach, so expect personal guidance during the RETREAT training to help you deepen your practice, your inner journey, and develop your personal teaching style. We encourage you to experiment and reflect. This can provoke different reactions at different levels, because growing is, and remains to be, challenging. We are here to guide and advise you in this personal process. We also encourage openness during the training days, mentor group sessions and within the study groups, so a safe environment is cultivated in which you can be completely yourself.

SELF STUDY & HOMEWORK

Let’s face it, we’re going to work hard and play loads in this RETREAT training and we are asking you to make that commitment. Take into account self-study, homework assignments, yoga practice and regular contact with your study group. You will immediately integrate functional teaching and adjusting in your existing or future classes. After all, practicing in reality is where you learn, where you grow, and that’s what makes this RETREAT training so valuable for you. A deepening of your knowledge, a deepening of – and sometimes confrontation with – yourself.

Check FAQ for a guesstimate on how many hours will be spent on self-study and homework outside of the contact hours in this RETREAT training.

  • How much experience do I need to have with Yin yoga to do this (300 hours) of training?

Experience with the Yin yoga practice is required. You don’t have to be an advanced practitioner, but you certainly have to have a good basis. This means that you must have practiced Yin yoga yourself for at least 6 months.

By using a minimum level of experience, we can guarantee all our trainees a highly qualified training. Apart from that, we believe that you should always first experience the Yin yoga path yourself, before you can communicate this in your classes.

Are you questioning if your Yin experience is sufficient? Please contact José and together you can discuss options on how to get enough experience to start the RETREAT training.

Options of where you can get experience are:

    • José: In person, live online and/or pre-recorded Yoga classes, workshops & Retreats.
    • Jasmijn: Online Yoga classes, courses, workshops & Retreats.
    • Jordi: Live Online Reiki courses, classes, workshops & Retreats.
      Or any other teacher 🙂
  • Is the training relevant if I don't want to become a Yin yoga teacher?

The Yin Yoga Anatomy & Meridian RETREAT Teacher Training (300 hours) is suitable for anyone who wants to deepen their connection with themselves and knowledge of the anatomical and energetic aspects of yoga, and improve their own practice. Because of the great understanding of the human body (anatomy and skeletal variations) that you gain, this RETREAT training is also very relevant for those who want to exercise injury-free beyond the scope of yoga.

This, in combination with the energetic aspect of yoga practice, makes the RETREAT training a transformational experience. Whether you subsequently become an authentic teacher or yoga coach for others, or remain a loving teacher to yourself, is entirely up to you.

  • Why is the Yin Yoga Anatomy & Meridian RETREAT Teacher Training (300 hours) spread over 12 months?

Spreading the training over 12 months is a very conscious choice. We find it important that trainees have time to practice, study and integrate. Time to play & explore! In this way you learn to reflect, build your self-confidence and embody what you have learned.

Moreover, a lot of things can come up during the RETREAT training. It takes time to digest this and actually break through old beliefs and patterns. The power lies in repetition, pulling yourself out of that comfort zone over and over again, so that you can grow on a personal and spiritual level.

Apart from the inner journey, this setup also gives room for gaining practical experience.

    Physical and Energetic Profundity

By spreading the RETREAT training over time you have space to deepen your own practice and grow personally. During the first half of the RETREAT training we will mainly focus on the physical aspects (movements, skeleton and muscles) of Yin yoga. The second half will focus on the energetic, emotional and healing aspects (meridians, chi, organs & emotions) of Yin yoga, allowing you to teach and adjust all 35 Yin yoga postures in a safe and profound way and with greater skill.

Inward self-reflection and growth is an important aspect in this RETREAT training, you will turn inward and face who you are and why you do what you do.

The RETREAT training days are at the beautiful Location Venwoude. The arrival time on the first day of each Retreat is between 9&10 am. Each first RETREAT Training Day starts at 10am. So please make sure you are on time.
The last day of each Retreat finishes at 4.30pm, so you have enough time to get home.
You will receive the exact time schedule and content of the days by email after registration.

The setup of this Yin Yoga Anatomy & Meridians RETREAT Teacher Training meets the Yoga Alliance standards as specified on their website: www.yogaalliance.org.

  • What are the prerequisites for obtaining your certificate?

For the successful completion of the Yin Yoga Anatomy & Meridian RETREAT Teacher Training (300 hours) the following requirements apply:

    • Participation in all RETREAT Training Days. You may miss a maximum of 10% of the training in order to qualify for the certificate, if agreed with your teachers.
    • Successful completion of homework, e-learning written assignments and quizzes.
    • Completion of the two online theoretical multiple choice exams.
    • Attendance of the online (on Zoom) Q&A, Mentor Group and Personal Feedback Sessions (Q&A and Personal Feedback Sessions are pre-set, Mentor Group sessions are yet to be planned; you are expected to be present in all sessions).
    • Participation and successful completion of the 2 practical exams during the RETREAT training (halfway through and at the end). The practical exams involve giving a Functional Yin Yoga Anatomy & Meridian class and are decisive for obtaining your certificate.
    • The most important criteria for passing: Can you safely and competent give a complete Yin yoga class, in which you carefully guide students through verbal and/ or subtle adjustments, so that the practice is beneficial for their body and emotional state of Being. The judgment of the trainers is decisive in this.
    • If, due to circumstances, all graduation requirements cannot be met, we will determine which aspects of the training have to be done again in order for you to obtain your certificate.
    • If the anatomical and philosophical aspects of yoga are not sufficiently applied in the practical class, we can arrange another practical teaching exam, this however will incur extra cost. You will receive a feedback form from us with points of improvement.

If you have successfully participated and completed this 300 hour training without having done a foundational 200-hour program prior to this training, then you will receive a 200-hour certificate. With this certificate you can register with Yoga Alliance as a RYT 200 teacher.

  • How much time do I spend on average on self-study and homework outside or within the RETREAT training days?

This is entirely up to you and varies per person. After all, everyone is unique 🙂

The homework is designed to support the material covered in class and to help you integrate it into your own practice and the way you teach. Practicing with your fellow students is very valuable because you can learn from each other and they are able to give targeted feedback (which is not the case when practicing with non-teachers).

    On average you can assume:

    • 1 – 2 hours of Yin yoga and meditation per week (self-practise or taking classes externally)
    • 4 – 8 hours homework per week (outside of the contact days)
    • Meet with your Study Group once a month (and more if preferred)
  • Am I sufficiently qualified to teach yoga once I have completed the RETREAT training?

    Yes!

After successfully completing this 300-hour Yin yoga, Anatomy & Meridians RETREAT Teacher Training you will be prepared to teach principles and techniques of Yin yoga that are more advanced, more detailed, and/or subtler with greater skill than could reasonably be expected of a 200 hour registered yoga teacher (RYT 200).

If you have participated in this 300-hour training without having taken a foundational 200-hour program before, then you will be more than prepared to start your teaching career.

But hey, learning and growing never stops. And keep in mind that, once on the path of a yoga teacher, that eagerness of deepening only increases. Fortunately, there are infinitely many interesting directions within yoga and infinitely many inspiring yoga teachers, research for yourself what suits you.

    Explore and discover your uniqueness!
