5 live online workshops combining Yin Yoga & Reiki with the 5 elements theory. Release deep tensions, feel renewed and reconnect with yourself .

 

These five workshops are based on the Five Elements philosophy of the Taoist conception of Nature and the Universe —and the Traditional Chinese Medicine. According to the poetic language of the Chinese Medicine and Tao, health is a harmonious balance of all the elements. Each of the five workshops offered is unique. You can enjoy one, two, three, four or the five of them. However, we recommend you take all of them: The five workshops combined will offer you a complete spiritual and therapeutic experience.

José de Groot and Jordi Ibern first combined Yin Yoga and Reiki in 2007 in Barcelona. The deep emotional and physical healing effects of Yin Yoga fit perfectly with the calmness that Reiki offers. Yin Yoga poses combined with the gentle touch of Reiki affect the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a human being, allowing you to release deep tensions, helping you to reconnect with yourself. You’ll feel reborn!

 

Always with Yin Yoga & Reiki as the core of the practice, each workshop is focused on a specific element: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth; each one of them unique and also part of the whole system that we call Tao, life or health.

Each workshop will start with an introduction / explanation of the element, followed by meditation, guided Reiki self-treatment and Yin Yoga asanas (postures) together with Reiki to end with a well deserved long shavasana (relaxation) with Reiki (energy healing).

Workshop 1:  Yin Yoga & Reiki –Metal element

Enhancing acceptance and boosting your respiratory & immune system

We start this workshop with an introduction of the Metal element and how to balance it with Yin Yoga and Reiki. This will be followed by a guided Reiki self-treatment and a Yin Yoga practice with application of Reiki. We finish with a Shavasana with guided Reiki self-treatment followed by a short closing

Workshop 2: Yin Yoga & Reiki –Water element

Boosting your confidence and energy level

We start this workshop with an introduction of the Water element and how to balance it with Yin Yoga and Reiki. This will be followed by a guided Reiki self-treatment and a Yin Yoga practice with application of Reiki. We finish with a Shavasana with guided Reiki self-treatment followed by a short closing

Workshop 5: Yin Yoga & Reiki –Earth element

Enhancing contentment and boosting your digestive system

We start this workshop with an introduction of the Earth element and how to balance it with Yin Yoga and Reiki. This will be followed by a guided Reiki self-treatment and a Yin Yoga practice with application of Reiki. We finish with a Shavasana with guided Reiki self-treatment followed by a short closing

What you need

Yoga mat, blanket, blocks, a belt and a pillow or a bolster.
As Yin Yoga is a passive form of yoga and Reiki is also very yin, we do not generate much heat. So, to keep yourself warm and comfortable, wear layers and warm socks.

What is Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a specific Yoga practice which stimulates, restores, and extends the scope of the original motion of the deeper tissues of the body, ligaments, tendons, and joints. Through the deeper tissues you stimulate the Chi flow all over your body and beyond, which leaves you completely nurtured. Yin yoga is effective, intense, and meditative, but first and above all, it’s therapeutic. Its results, among which a profound positive effect on the mind and a release of emotional stagnation, last usually for a long time.

What is Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese spiritual practice developed in the early twentieth century by a Buddhist monk named Usui Sensei. Its aim is to maintain—or restore—balance and to provide spiritual well-being.

With Shinto, Taoist, and Buddhist roots, it is based on the transmission of Ki/Qi/Chi (vital energy) through the hands and meditation. Regular practice has a calming effect and promotes mental clarity.
