You will learn:
Throughout the course, you will learn how to analyze and recognize Yin and Yang (Hatha/Vinyasa) poses, understand the different purposes of each, and discover multiple variations suitable for different body types. You will also learn how to teach and cue your students in a functional way to help them achieve a pain and injury-free practice.
Who is this for?
The course is designed to help you overcome any challenging yoga poses you or your students may experience, and find ways to work around physical limitations or injuries. You will examine the function of commonly challenging Yin and Yang asanas and explore different variations that will be beneficial for your unique body type. The course covers joint and body areas such as the neck, lower back, wrists, ankles, pelvis, arms, and thighs.
This exploration was created with the understanding that everyone’s body is different, and the ultimate goal is to recognize and celebrate the unique nature of our bodies by making Yin and Yang asana practice adaptable and accessible to everyone.

By the end of the course, you will have a better understanding of functional asana and how to adapt and adjust commonly practised asanas in Yin, Hatha, and Vinyasa classes. You will also learn about skeletal differences and ranges of movement, allowing you to skillfully work with and around physical limitations.
